“Snakes Alive!” and many other summer camps centered on everything from arts to athletics draw thousands of youngsters to UT campuses.
“Bravo!” is the theme of UT Knoxville’s annual Alumni Summer College July 28 through August 1. Visual and performing arts will take center stage on the program. Anyone can come—you don’t have to be an alumnus.
If you can’t take the heat, get out of the garden. Summer hardy plants bloom their hearts out at UT Gardens in Knoxville (Agricultural Campus on Neyland Drive) and Jackson (at the West Tennessee Research and Education Center). Everyone’s invited to come see the floral show.
June brides (and grooms) abound at UT Chattanooga’s Patten Chapel, a beautiful reminder of the religious heritage of the University of Chattanooga. June, July, and August average about seven weddings each, with the chapel booked for weddings every Saturday and most Sundays.
