Tennessee is home to 22 species of frogs and 58 species of salamanders, and you can read all about them and other amphibians in The Amphibians of Tennessee, an extensive guide edited by UT alumni Matthew Niemiller and R. Graham Reynolds. Both earned their doctorates from the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UT Knoxville. The book, available from UT Press, contains 287 color photos and nearly 100 maps. For more information, visit www.amphibiansoftn.com.
