UTAA Presents Awards to Top Faculty, Staff

Each year, the UT Alumni Association recognizes outstanding faculty and staff for their work in three categories.

Distinguished Service Professorship

The UTAA Distinguished Service Professorship award is intended by the UTAA to attract and retain outstanding professors. Winners receive a $1,000 cash award for three years and the title of distinguished service professor. There have been 96 awarded this distinction since 1962.

Outstanding Teachers

Since 1973, the UTAA Public Service awards have recognized faculty and staff who make substantial contributions to the welfare and good of the state or national public. Awardees receive a one-time gift of $1,000. This award began in 1973, with 115 recipients to date.
