“So many men, so little time,” the witty, bawdy Hollywood star Mae West once observed.
Without embracing her sentiment, the Alumnus certainly faced something akin to that challenge when trying to comb through about 370,000 alumni to select a sliver of 100 illustrious grads to reflect the whole as the magazine celebrates 100 years of publication.
This year the magazine will reflect on where the university has been, where we are now and where we’ll be going in living up to and strengthening the proud tradition of academic excellence. In part, that excellence is reflected in the stories of 100 grads to be featured as part of the next three issues, starting with 33 in this issue.
We invite you to read the stories of your classmates and colleagues and enjoy the innate sense of pride that comes from being part of the UT alumni family.
